CM Punjab Orders Formation of Vigilance Teams for Governance Improvement

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed the formation of vigilance teams to ensure good governance across the province. Chairing a meeting in Lahore, she outlined the initiative to deploy special teams in every district to monitor and address issues hampering governance.

According to Radio Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of the ‘Suthra Punjab Program’ and warned of strict action against private contractors who demonstrate poor performance. Expressing concern over the unsatisfactory cleanliness in certain cities, she instructed the suspension of payments to underperforming contractors.

Maryam Nawaz further stated that continuous monitoring would be implemented using CCTV cameras to eliminate encroachments permanently in the province.
