Punjab Govt Distributes E-Vehicles to Promote Eco-Friendly Transportation Among Women

Lahore: The Punjab government has announced its decision to distribute 100 electric vehicles to women through a balloting process as part of an initiative under the eco-friendly electric taxi scheme. This move aims to encourage sustainable transportation options within the region.

According to Radio Pakistan, a spokesperson from the Transport Department confirmed that an additional 200 electric taxis will be distributed to men. This step is part of a broader strategy to enhance eco-friendly commuting solutions across Punjab.

Furthermore, the government has outlined plans to provide 1,000 vehicles to commercial corporate drivers without any interest charges. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to promoting environmentally friendly transportation and supporting local drivers.
