Couple Dies of Asphyxiation After Firecracker Accident in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A tragic incident unfolded as a man and his wife succumbed to asphyxiation following a fire accident in their home. The incident also left another family member injured after firecrackers stored in the house ignited.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the fire broke out late Monday night when the family was preparing food for a festival. Sparks from a gas stove reportedly landed on a box of firecrackers, causing it to burst. The resulting smoke quickly filled the two-room house, leading to the couple’s suffocation and subsequent death, based on preliminary investigations.

A girl from the household has been hospitalized due to asphyxiation and remains in serious condition. The deceased were both in their mid-50s. Police officials have stated that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
