Crackdown Initiated on Illegal Petroleum Sales in Khuzdar Bazar

Khuzdar: The district administration of Khuzdar has launched a crackdown on the open sale of petroleum products in Khuzdar Bazar, targeting vendors who use gallon drums and plastic bottles to distribute fuel. This move comes under the directive of Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti, involving the levies force in seizing illegal items placed in front of shops across markets and beachfront roads.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, notices were previously issued to vendors involved in the open sale of petroleum products, warning them to cease the illegal practice of selling fuel in drum gallons and other containers. Despite these warnings, some vendors continued their activities, prompting today’s enforcement action. The district administration emphasized that the open sale of petroleum products poses significant fire hazards, risking both life and property, and necessitating this decisive intervention.
