CRPF Officer Accused of Assaulting Driver with Cricket Bat in Sivasagar

Sivasagar: In a disturbing incident in Sivasagar, Assam, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer, Inspector Mohan Lal, has been accused of assaulting a driver with a cricket bat. The driver, identified as Rajiv Dutta, has been working at the CRPF camp in Jayanagar for the past four years.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the altercation that led to the assault occurred after a heated argument between Inspector Lal and Dutta. The dispute escalated, resulting in Dutta being struck multiple times with a cricket bat. The injuries he sustained affected various parts of his body.

Following the incident, an FIR was lodged against Inspector Mohan Lal at the Sivasagar Sadar police station. The authorities are currently investigating the case to ascertain the details and proceed with appropriate legal actions.
