Currency Fluctuations Continue in Pakistan with Notable Changes in Major Currencies

Islamabad, The latest figures released by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan show a continuation of currency value fluctuations in Pakistan, with changes noted in the buying and selling rates of major currencies including the USD, EURO, GBP, JPY, AED, and SR from May 15 to May 16, 2024.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the exchange rates for the US dollar moved slightly from 276.93 buying and 279.45 selling on May 15, to 276.96 buying and 279.54 selling on May 16. Similarly, the EURO increased from 298.12 buying and 300.72 selling to 300.07 buying and 302.99 selling over the same period. The British pound saw an increase from 346.94 buying and 350.19 selling to 350.07 buying and 353.39 selling.

Other currencies also exhibited minor adjustments. The Japanese yen increased from 1.74 buying and 1.78 selling to 1.76 buying and 1.80 selling, while the UAE Dirham moved from 75.16 buying and 75.90 selling to 75.30 buying and 76.03 selling. The Saudi Riyal similarly increased from 73.50 buying and 74.19 selling to 73.61 buying and 74.30 selling.

The interbank rates for the Pakistani Rupee against the US dollar were also slightly adjusted, moving from 278.18 buying and 278.38 selling on May 15, to 278.40 buying and 278.60 selling on May 16.
