Dar Underscores Importance of Dialogue for Regional Peace

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar met Foreign Minister of Iran Seyyed Abbas Araghchi ahead of the SCO Council of Heads of State meeting in Bishkek today. The two Foreign Ministers exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional developments and reaffirmed the importance of continued engagement.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain essential to promoting peace and stability in the region. He highlighted that sincere implementation by both parties of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding of June 2026 to the conflict remains the only way forward.
