Dawood Hercules Corporation Approves 10% Interim Cash Dividend and Releases Positive Unaudited Financial Results for H1 2023

Karachi, Dawood Hercules Corporation Limited, in a recent Board of Directors meeting held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., has given the green light to the unaudited unconsolidated and consolidated condensed interim financial statements for the second quarter and six months period ending June 30, 2023. In addition, the Board has recommended a 10% interim cash dividend for the quarter ended June 30, 2023, amounting to Rs. 1 per share. This dividend is in addition to the previously paid interim dividend of Rs. 15 per share (150%).

Shareholders whose names are recorded in the Register of Members by August 30, 2023, will be entitled to the mentioned dividend. To facilitate this process, the Share Transfer Books of the company will be closed from August 31, 2023, to September 1, 2023 (inclusive).

The financial statement shows encouraging results for the company. The unconsolidated condensed interim statement of profit or loss for the quarter and six months ending June 30, 2023, displays a return on investments of Rs. 9,301,890,000 and a profit after taxation of Rs. 6,224,301,000. The consolidated condensed interim statement of profit or loss for the six months ending June 30, 2023, showcases net sales of Rs. 10,318,401,000 and a profit for the period attributed to the owners of the holding company amounting to Rs. 1,771,019,000.
