DC Chaman Visits Local College, Addresses Economic Discrepancies in Gwadar

Chaman: In a proactive measure to address educational and economic concerns in the region, Captain Retired Raja Athar Abbas, the Deputy Commissioner of Chaman, inspected the Government Boys Degree College Chaman yesterday. His visit included interactions with students and a review of both curricular and extra-curricular activities at the institution.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the DC’s educational oversight was paralleled by economic interventions in Gwadar. In response to public complaints about pricing disparities, Assistant Commissioner Mir Jawad Ahmad Zahri’s office took decisive action. A team led by Shakeel Baloch, the head of the Complaint Cell, conducted inspections at various local hotels and restaurants to enforce compliance with official tariffs and sanitation standards. Violators were warned of strict penalties including arrest and substantial fines.

The campaign aims to ensure that commodities are offered to the public at reasonable prices and in a clean, healthy environment. This initiative reflects a broader effort by local authorities to enhance the quality of life for residents through improved services and enforcement of regulations.
