Death Anniversary of 1965 War Hero M. M. Alam Observed

Karachi: The 13th death anniversary of “1965 War Hero” Muhammad Mahmood Alam, known as M. M. Alam, was observed on Wednesday. M. M. Alam gained fame for his remarkable achievements during the 1965 war.

According to Radio Pakistan, M. M. Alam, nicknamed as ‘Little Dragon’, piloted an F-86 Sabre and shot down five Indian warplanes in less than a minute during the 1965 war, setting a record that remains unbeaten. In total, he downed nine warplanes in the aerial battle, earning him a place in history as a legendary fighter pilot.

M. M. Alam passed away in Karachi on this date in 2013 at the age of 77. His legacy continues to be remembered and honored for his contributions to the Pakistan Air Force and his remarkable feats during the war.
