Death Anniversary of Ali Bakhsh Zahoor Observed

Lahore: Fiftieth death anniversary of Pakistan’s first film playback singer Ali Bakhsh Zahoor was observed on Tuesday.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ali Bakhsh Zahoor began his singing career at All India Radio before the partition of the Indian subcontinent. He gained recognition for his contributions to Pakistani cinema with his performances in films such as ‘Chanway’, ‘Beqarar’, and ‘Teri Yaad’, which were released shortly after the creation of Pakistan as an independent nation.

Ali Bakhsh Zahoor passed away on 18th November 1975 in Lahore, leaving behind a legacy in the music and film industry of Pakistan.
