Death Anniversary of Comedian Munawar Zarif Observed

Lahore: The 50th death anniversary of famous Pakistani comedian and film actor Munawar Zarif was observed on Wednesday.

According to Radio Pakistan, Munawar Zarif appeared in over 321 movies and was renowned for his unique style of out-of-script dialogue delivery. His career in the film industry began with the Punjabi film “Dandian” in 1961, but it was the film “Hath Jori” that provided him with a breakthrough.

Munawar Zarif’s exceptional performances earned him the prestigious Nigar Award for his roles in “Baharo Phool Barsao,” “Zeenat,” and “Ishaq Deewana.”

The beloved comedian passed away on this day in 1976 in Lahore, leaving behind a legacy in the Pakistani film industry.
