Death Anniversary of Legendary Poet Josh Malihabadi Observed

Pallekele: The 44th death anniversary of legendary poet Shabbir Hassan Khan, popularly known as Josh Malihabadi, was observed today [Sunday]: Josh Malihabadi, born in 1898 in Malihabad, was celebrated for his significant contributions to Urdu poetry. Known as the “Poet of revolution and youth,” he gained acclaim for his poetic works and his prose collection “Yadon Ki Baarat.”

According to Radio Pakistan, Josh Malihabadi authored a substantial number of books that included poems, ghazals, and prose, showcasing his wide-ranging talents. In recognition of his contributions, he was posthumously awarded the Hilal Imtiaz in 2013. Josh Malihabadi passed away on this day in 1982, but his legacy continues to influence and inspire.
