Death Anniversary of Sufi Singer Sain Akhtar Observed

Lahore: The 38th death anniversary of renowned folk singer Sain Akhtar Hussain was observed on Monday. Sain Akhtar Hussain, born in Amritsar in 1920, was celebrated for his renditions of Kafis and other folk songs, especially during the Urs ceremonies of saints.

According to Radio Pakistan, Sain Akhtar Hussain made significant contributions to the arts through his work in films, Radio Pakistan, and television. His contributions to music and culture were recognized with the Pride of Performance Award. Sain Akhtar Hussain passed away on this date in 1987 in Lahore.
