Defence Housing Authority City Karachi Steering Committee meeting held

Karachi, January 11, 2016 (PPI-OT): DHA City Karachi (DCK) Steering Committee Meeting chaired by Administrator DHA Brig Zubair Ahmed was held at DCK Directorate on Super Highway to review/evaluate the progress of the ongoing fast track development works at the project site.

The meeting reviewed in detail the planning, execution and strategic dimensions of DCK projects including ICT, electrical and housing development works in Sector 3 and took pragmatic and prompt decisions to expedite the initiation of new projects in the pipeline. Administrator directed DCK management and project consultant to leave no stone unturned to ensure qualitative and holistic development of the projects on most modern lines and paradoxically to ensure availability of gas and electricity provision before the area is opened for construction this year.

The Administrator also asked the DCK management to imaginatively incorporate the horticultural component in DCK to enhance its beauty, greenery and aesthetics in its real essence. The Administrator expressed his satisfaction at the quality and pace of the ongoing development works and commended DCK officials/staff for their commitment, dedication and hard work with which they were engaged in development of DCK.

Earlier Project Director DCK Brig (retd) Muhammad Rafique delineated the progress made in the ongoing sector/road development works in DCK. Steering Committee also deliberated on a host of administrative and professional issues and took appropriate decisions to ensure unhampered smooth and expeditious development of DCK.
