Delegation of OIC Core Group on Islamophobia Meets UNGA President

Islamabad: The Permanent Representatives of the OIC Core Group on Islamophobia convened with Annalena Baerbock, President of the 80th UN General Assembly, at the UN Headquarters. The meeting focused on discussions about the upcoming commemoration of the UN International Day to Combat Islamophobia, scheduled for March 15.

According to Radio Pakistan, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, emphasized the significance of the International Day for the OIC. He highlighted that the day symbolizes global solidarity in efforts to combat Islamophobia, underscoring the need for collective international action to address the issue.
