DPM and US Charge D’Affaires Discuss Regional Developments in Islamabad

Islamabad: The U.S. Charg© d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker called on the Deputy Prime Minister in Islamabad today. Discussions centered on Pakistan-U.S. bilateral cooperation and recent regional developments.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar appreciated the positive trajectory in Pakistan-U.S. relations and underscored the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for lasting peace. He emphasized that the implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of June 18 in letter and spirit is the only way forward. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and security while safeguarding its national interests.

The U.S. Charg© appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability and conveyed felicitations to the Deputy Prime Minister on Pakistan’s Independence Day.
