DPM Calls for Practical Steps to Improve Govt’s Efficacy

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the inaugural meeting of the Committee on Improving Government Efficiency, emphasizing the need for actionable measures to enhance governmental operations. The session, which took place in Islamabad, marked the start of a targeted effort to refine the effectiveness of governmental processes under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the committee identified key focus areas and established sub-groups dedicated to digitization, global best practices, performance appraisal, rewards, and management information systems. These sub-groups are tasked with developing strategies and recommendations aimed at elevating the Government’s operational efficiency.

Ishaq Dar urged the newly formed sub-groups to work promptly and in coordination with various stakeholders. The goal is to propose practical solutions that will improve the government’s efficacy and deliver tangible benefits to the citizens of Pakistan.
