Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has departed for Amman, Jordan, to participate in a Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem scheduled for tomorrow. He is attending the meeting at the invitation of his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Al Safadi.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting will convene Foreign Ministers from the Arab League and various Islamic countries, including Pakistan, with the objective of establishing a unified stance on the worsening situation in occupied Jerusalem. The Foreign Ministers in attendance are also expected to have an audience with the King of Jordan, Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein.
Ishaq Dar will use this platform to emphasize Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their cause. Additionally, he plans to conduct bilateral meetings with other Foreign Ministers present, to discuss regional and international developments.
His involvement in the meeting signifies Pakistan’s enduring support for the Palestinian people and its firm commitment to the creation of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine, based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
