Islamabad: A meeting chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad today gave in-principle approval to a uniform nationwide system for issuing Police Character Certificates.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Interior Minister announced that Police Clearance Certificates will now be issued through the National Police Bureau. The previously complex process for obtaining a Police Clearance Certificate has been streamlined, accelerated, and made fully online.
The Interior Minister also directed the establishment of a uniform system for issuing International Driving Permits. He emphasized that a standardized system for Police Clearance Certificates and International Driving Permits will simplify the process for citizens traveling abroad.
Mohsin Naqvi highlighted that transforming the National Police Bureau into an active and dynamic institution is among the top priorities. He also paid tribute to police martyrs, noting that their sacrifices for maintaining peace and eliminating crime in the country will always be remembered.
