DPM Reviews Strategy for Advancing Economic Diplomacy

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting in Islamabad today to review the strategy of Pakistan for advancing trade and economic diplomacy. The meeting concentrated on identifying avenues to enhance Pakistan’s economic and trade relations with the European Union, a key trading partner for the nation.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting was attended by the Minister for Commerce, Minister for Law and Justice, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary, and Secretaries of various departments, including Commerce, Law, Environment, Human Resource and Development, Human Rights, and Information. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Brussels, along with senior federal and provincial government officials, were also present to discuss potential strategies and collaborative efforts.

The discussions aimed at fortifying existing partnerships and exploring new opportunities for cooperation in trade and economic sectors. The emphasis was placed on aligning Pakistan’s economic policies to better integrate with European markets, thereby boosting exports and fostering sustainable economic growth.
