Govt Committed to Mechanized, Responsible Mining: Ali Pervaiz

Islamabad: Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has announced Pakistan’s decisive shift from traditional mining practices to modern, mechanized, and responsible methods. This transition marks a significant move towards sustainable development in the country’s mining sector.

According to Radio Pakistan, the minister made these remarks during a meeting with a Finnish delegation led by Ambassador Hannu Ripatti and Piia Karhu, President of Minerals at Metso, in Islamabad. The meeting underscored Pakistan’s commitment to creating a stable and investor-friendly environment.

Ali Pervaiz Malik emphasized the importance of training local talent, which he believes will not only boost domestic prosperity but also furnish a skilled workforce for international markets. This initiative is expected to enhance both economic growth and employment opportunities within the country.

In her response, Piia Karhu praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s dedication to advancing the mining sector in Pakistan. Her acknowledgment reflects global recognition of Pakistan’s efforts to modernize its industrial practices and attract foreign investment.
