DPM Vows to Further Deepen Engagement with Iran

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only effective means of addressing outstanding issues and achieving lasting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region. He made these remarks during a meeting with Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam, who visited him in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further deepening engagement with Iran in key priority areas. The discussions between the two leaders also involved exchanging views on the evolving regional situation, highlighting the importance of continued cooperation.

The Iranian Ambassador briefed Ishaq Dar on progress under various bilateral institutional mechanisms aimed at strengthening cooperation across different areas. This development follows the recent high-level visits between Pakistan and Iran, underscoring the ongoing efforts to bolster ties between the two neighboring countries.
