DPM Welcomes Pakistan-Afghanistan Ceasefire Agreement

Doha: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar has welcomed the Pakistan-Afghanistan agreement finalized late last night in Doha.

According to Radio Pakistan, in a social post on X handle, he termed it as the first step in the right direction. Ishaq Dar appreciated the constructive role played by brotherly Qatar and Turkiye.

He further said he looked forward to the establishment of a concrete and verifiable monitoring mechanism in the next meeting to be hosted by Turkiye to address the menace of terrorism emanating from Afghan soil towards Pakistan.
