DPO Rahim Yar Khan Dismisses Claims Linking Officer’s Recovery to Criminal’s Release as Baseless

Rahim Yar Khan: District Police Officer (DPO) Rizwan Umar Gondal clarified today that allegations linking the court release of Abdul Jabbar Lolai to the recovery of Constable Ahmad Nawaz are unfounded and misleading.

According to Punjab Police, DPO Gondal explained that the successful recovery of Constable Ahmad Nawaz was achieved through a dedicated police operation in Kacha, emphasizing the capability and independence of the police efforts. He detailed that Abdul Jabbar Lolai, involved in multiple criminal cases, was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2023 but was released on appeal by the Bahawalpur High Court earlier this year. The DPO stressed that Lolai’s legal release had no connection to the operational achievements of the police in recovering the kidnapped officer.

DPO Gondal urged the public and media to refrain from spreading misinformation that could undermine police integrity or misrepresent the facts of ongoing law enforcement efforts. He reaffirmed the commitment of Rahim Yar Khan police to maintaining law and order without being swayed by unrelated judicial proceedings.
