Driver Dies, Young Girl Injured in Bandipora Gorge Accident

Srinagar: A tragic accident in Panar village, Bandipora district, resulted in the death of a driver and injuries to a young girl on Monday. The vehicle they were in veered off the road and plummeted into a gorge.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the accident occurred when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to roll into the gorge. The driver, identified as Showkat Ahmad Khan from Turkpora, succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead upon arrival at District Hospital, Bandipora. The injured girl, Umiya Shahnaz from Quilmuqam, is currently under medical care.

Local police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
