Earthquake Kills 20 in Afghanistan

Islamabad: In Afghanistan, at least twenty people were killed and two hundred and sixty injured in an earthquake measuring 6.3-magnitude that struck Mazar-e-Sharif city today. Interim Afghan defence ministry in a statement said that parts of Balkh and Samangan provinces were the most affected, resulting in fatalities.

According to Radio Pakistan, the earthquake’s impact was particularly severe in these regions, leading to a significant number of injuries and loss of life. The local authorities are assessing the damage and coordinating relief efforts to assist those affected by the disaster.
