Islamabad: Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has approved a relief package worth 5.8 billion rupees as federal assistance for the rain and flood affected people.
According to Radio Pakistan, the approval was accorded at a meeting of ECC held in Islamabad today with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in the chair. The ECC directed the Finance Division to immediately release 4 billion rupees of the approved package to mitigate the sufferings of affected people.
The meeting also approved uniform application of fuel charges adjustment across the country and the New Energy Vehicle Policy 2025-30. The ECC directed the Ministry of Petroleum to take effective measures to control losses in the gas sector and ensure operational efficiency.
