Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain has directed Engineering Development Board to play a leading role to facilitate manufacturing and designing of engineering products.
He was chairing a meeting of the Engineering Development Board in Islamabad.
The Minister said the policy and regulatory framework of the EDB needs revision on immediate basis to foster growth, innovation, and competitiveness within the engineering industry.
He said that the EDB should create conducive atmosphere for the promotion of foreign investment in the engineering sector.
