Efforts Underway to Promote Sustainable Urban Development in Lahore: Maryam

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited the historic and industrial city of Yokohama in Japan and reviewed the port operations. On this occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized that efforts are underway to promote sustainable urban development in Lahore and other industrial and densely populated cities of Punjab.

According to Radio Pakistan, the approach is inspired by the successful model of Yokohama, which is known for its efficient port operations and urban planning. The visit aims to gather insights and strategies that can be implemented in Punjab’s urban areas to enhance sustainability and address the challenges posed by rapid urbanization.
