Efforts Underway to Promote Sustainable Urban Development in Punjab: CM Maryam

Punjab: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited the historic and industrial city of Yokohama in Japan and reviewed the port operations. On this occasion, the Chief Minister stated that efforts are underway to promote sustainable urban development in Lahore and other industrial and densely populated cities of Punjab, following the successful model of Yokohama.

According to Radio Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized that the Ravi Urban Development Authority will be transformed into a modern urban development authority similar to Yokohama, ensuring both industrial progress and protection against environmental hazards. She highlighted that Yokohama stands as a unique example of modern urban development where industrial growth has been achieved alongside environmental sustainability.
