Election Commission strongly rebuts false news of availability of E-Voting facility for Overseas Pakistanis

Islamabad, April 16, 2018 (PPI-OT): The Election Commission strongly rebuts the false news of the availability of E-Voting facility for Overseas Pakistanis. Any such news viral on the social media is far away from the truth and baseless. E-Voting facility for Overseas Pakistanis has been under consideration for a long period of time, however, it still needs to go through many system development processes and requires multiple pilot testings to make it foolproof system in accordance with the basic election principles. Similarly, law does not allow to use E-Voting system in the any election at the moment. It is to inform the public at large not to take any such self concocted story, issued by mischief mongers, seriously.
