Srinagar, March 13, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples’ Movement, a constituent of the APHC, organised a meeting to contemplate over the latest political scenario across the territory.
The meeting apart from JKPM leaders was attended by representatives of the several other parties including Mahaz-e-Azadi, Jamaat-e-Islami and Muslim Coordination Committee. The leaders resolved that Muslims of Jammu were an indispensable part of the ongoing resistance movement.
The JKPM senior vice Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem chaired the meeting. On the occasion, he said the people of the territory never accepted the stage-managed election drama. He said as per the UN resolutions these elections had no bearing on the disputed character of the Jammu and Kashmir.
The senior leader of Mahaz-e-Azadi Khawaja Muhammad Yousaf Gilakar spoke in detail about the futility of the poll exercise. Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion included Abdul Hamid Khan, Muhammad Shafi, Ghulam Hassan Mir and Muhammad Sharief Sheikh.
