Electricity Supply Restored in Swat, Buner, Shangla: Awais

Islamabad: Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmed Leghari announced that electricity supply has been restored at 45 feeders in the regions of Swat, Buner, and Shangla. These areas were previously affected by rains and floods, and efforts are ongoing to restore power to four additional feeders still impacted by the adverse weather conditions.

According to Radio Pakistan, the minister, while on a visit to Swat, detailed the extent of the damage, noting that a total of 49 feeders experienced disruptions due to the heavy rains and floods. The breakdown of the affected feeders includes nine in Buner, five in Shangla, and 35 in Swat.

To expedite the restoration process, additional personnel were dispatched from Peshawar, Kohat, Hangu, and Mardan to assist in Swat and Buner. The minister highlighted that electricity poles and transformers were urgently transported to the affected areas to facilitate the restoration of services.
