Eleven Petrol Pumps Sealed in Hub for Weight Discrepancies

Hub: Following public complaints, eleven petrol pumps in Hub were sealed for discrepancies in fuel measurements. The enforcement action was led by Assistant Commissioner Hub Ameer Hamza Balu, alongside the Inspector of Weights and Measures, Ismatullah, and additional district administration staff. The affected petrol stations are located on major routes including the Quetta-Karachi main highway, RC Road, Gadani Mor, and Bypass.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the sealing of the petrol pumps was a part of a routine check to ensure compliance with the prescribed fuel measurement standards. The operation targeted petrol pumps that were reported to be dispensing less fuel than indicated by their pumps, which is a violation of consumer trust and regulations.

The initiative underlines the commitment of the local authorities to uphold measurement standards and protect consumer rights. The actions taken during this operation are part of broader efforts to enforce regulations and standards across various services in the region.
