Embassy of Pakistan Hosts Annual Mango Festival in Washington DC

Lahore: The Embassy of Pakistan in Washington DC hosted its highly anticipated annual Mango Festival. Members of the US administration, lawmakers and their staffers, diplomats, the think tank community, and the Pakistani-American community attended the event to celebrate the cultural and agricultural heritage of Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, spoke at the event, describing Pakistani mangoes as a fruit of passion that symbolizes the deepening ties between the two nations. He emphasized that, much like Pakistan’s defense and diplomatic capabilities, the taste of its mangoes is a testament to the country’s rich agricultural tradition and prowess.

The event also featured Congressman Ryan Zinke of Montana, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, who highlighted the warmth of the relationship between the United States and Pakistan. The festival served as a platform to strengthen diplomatic relations while showcasing the cultural significance of Pakistani mangoes.
