Tanveer Invites Swedish Investment in Agriculture and Food Sectors

Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain has invited Swedish companies to invest in Pakistan’s agriculture, food processing, dairy, post-harvest management, and value-added sectors. He made this call during a meeting with Swedish Ambassador Alexandra Berg von Linde in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions between the two sides focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in areas such as agriculture, food security, livestock, research, innovation, and sustainable development. The Ambassador highlighted the positive contributions of Swedish companies already operating in Pakistan, particularly in the fields of food processing, dairy packaging, and sustainable textile production.

Both parties concurred that the existing experience of Swedish companies in these sectors provides a robust basis for further enhancing economic and agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
