Railways Modernization to Boost Freight Business: Hanif Abbasi

Lahore: Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has announced an expansion and modernization plan for Pakistan Railways. He was addressing the media at Lahore Railway Station after inaugurating the Bulleh Shah Passenger Train service between Lahore and Kasur.

According to Radio Pakistan, the railways minister stated that forty-three locomotives will be dedicated to the Freight Corridor. This initiative is expected to increase the freight business by at least thirty-two percent. The plan signifies a significant step towards enhancing the efficiency and capacity of Pakistan’s railway infrastructure, aiming to provide better services and facilitate economic growth.
