Karachi: Engro Fertilizers Limited has declared an interim dividend of Rs. 2.50 per share for the third quarter ending September 30, 2024. This decision follows a detailed review and approval of the company’s unaudited financial results for the first nine months of the year by its Board of Directors on October 14, 2024, in Karachi.
During the meeting, the Board ratified the financial achievements of Engro Fertilizers, acknowledging the company’s strong performance amidst fluctuating market conditions. The newly announced dividend is in addition to the Rs. 11.00 per share already distributed earlier this year, cumulatively bringing the year’s total cash distribution to shareholders to Rs. 13.50 per share.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Engro Fertilizers reported significant earnings in the third quarter, with a net profit after taxes reaching Rs. 17.98 billion. This marks a notable increase from the Rs. 15.04 billion recorded in the same period the previous year, demonstrating a robust growth trajectory. The earnings per share for this quarter also rose to Rs. 13.47, up from Rs. 11.27 last year.
Engro Fertilizers has confirmed that the share transfer books of the company will remain closed from October 29, 2024, to November 3, 2024, for dividend processing. Shareholders registered by the end of business on October 28, 2024, will be eligible for the dividend.
