Lahore: Exhibitions play a crucial role in fostering trade, innovation, and economic growth by providing a platform for businesses to present their products, services, and innovations. This was emphasized by Mian Abuzar Shad, President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, during the “Made in Uzbekistan” Exhibition hosted by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan. The event featured Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtaev, as the Chief Guest, alongside notable business leaders, trade representatives, and government officials.

According to a statement by Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mian Abuzar Shad highlighted how exhibitions offer networking opportunities, encourage international collaborations, and open new business avenues. These events offer market insights, help companies stay updated on industry trends, and forge strategic partnerships. Shad noted that exhibitions attract foreign investment, boost exports, and support industrial growth in emerging economies. He emphasized the strong ties between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, advocating for improved trade relations and economic cooperation. The exhibition showcased Uzbekistan’s offerings, including high-quality textiles, organic produce, pharmaceuticals, automotive technologies, and innovative building materials. Shad highlighted these sectors as key areas for potential collaboration and investment.

Ambassador Alisher Tukhtaev welcomed the involvement of Pakistani business leaders, emphasizing the importance of single country exhibitions and trade delegations in enhancing trade and investment.
