Exide Pakistan Ltd. Faces Challenges with Negative Earnings Per Share

Karachi: Exide Pakistan Ltd. (EXIDE), a notable entity in the automobile parts and accessories sector, traded at Rs. 360.23 today, slightly above its daily weighted average rate of Rs. 361.63. Despite a paid-up capital of Rs. 77.69 million, the company reported a 100% dividend for the year 2023, with no distributions in the preceding two years. Listed since 1982, Exide Pakistan had a high rate of Rs. 393 and a low rate of Rs. 191.3, with a turnover of 2,152,200 shares. The company, with a par value of Rs. 10 and a market lot of 100, last closed its books on 24/07. The EPS for 2021/2022 was reported at a negative Rs. 0.01.
