Expulsion of Kashmiri students from Indian universities flayed

Srinagar, March 09, 2014 (PPI-OT): The leader of APHC-AJK Chapter, Abdul Hameed Lone, has strongly condemned the expulsion of Kashmiri students by Indian universities in Meerut and Greater Noida and registration of cases against them by the Indian authorities.

Abdul Hameed Lone in a statement issued here said that it was due to the unresolved Kashmir dispute that the Kashmiris were harassed and killed by India in occupied Kashmir and different Indian states. He said that the expulsion of 67 students in Meerut university and four from Noida university for cheering Pakistani players or team was part of a game plan to harass and humiliate the Kashmiris in India.

He appealed to the world community to take notice of the matter and put pressure on India to stop victimization of Kashmiris in different Indian states and cities. He also thanked the government of Pakistan for extending the offer for admission to the expelled students. He pointed out that stability in South Asian region was not possible without resolving Kashmir dispute.

The APHC leader also expressed solidarity with the Chairman of United Jihad Council, Syed Salah-ud-Din, over the demise of his brother and mother-in-law.
