Federal Govt Fully Supporting Flood Relief & Rescue Efforts: Muqam

Islamabad: Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, has said the Federal government is providing full support for the relief and rescue operations targeting flood-affected communities. Speaking at a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been consistently monitoring the situation to ensure timely and effective response.

According to Radio Pakistan, Amir Muqam emphasized that the restoration of roads and the electricity infrastructure in flood-hit areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was ensured on priority basis. He added that the Federal Government has supplied relief goods and other essential items to affected populations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and other regions across the country.

The Minister said compensation cheques, as announced by the Prime Minister for those who lost their lives or were injured in the devastating floods, are being distributed.
