Karachi: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has underscored the role of creative education in driving economic growth and societal transformation. He made these remarks while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Karachi Chapter of Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design at the historic Mohatta Palace Museum in Karachi.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Siddiqui emphasized the importance of linking design and fashion arts with the industry to foster innovation and economic progress. He elaborated on how creative education can serve as a catalyst for societal change and economic development, urging stakeholders to integrate creative disciplines with industrial practices.

During the event, Vice Chancellor of the institute, Professor Hina Tayyaba Khalil, praised the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design’s contribution to nurturing design talent. She highlighted the institute’s role in enhancing the nation’s cultural and economic landscape by equipping students with skills that align with industry needs.

The ceremony marked a significant step in promoting creative education in Pakistan, aiming to bridge the gap between academia and industry for sustainable economic advancement.
