Federal Secretary for Aviation, Mr. Hassan Nasir Jamy inaugurated the Upgraded Meteorological Observatory at Regional Meteorological Center Peshawar

Islamabad, December 03, 2020 (PPI-OT): Federal Secretary for Aviation, Mr. Hassan Nasir Jamy inaugurated the upgraded meteorological observatory in the Regional Meteorological Center (RMC), Peshawar today. Mr. Imran Jamil Shami, Joint Secretary, Aviation Division, Director General (PMD) Muhammad Riaz and Chief Met. Dr. Hanif were also present on the occasion. Dr. Muhammad Fahim, Deputy Director, RMC Peshawar, briefed about the working and functions of the center.

Dr. Hanif added that the Meteorological Department has begun the process of modernization and integration of state-of-the-art systems into the observational network of PMD. Soon meteorological observatories in different parts of the country would be upgraded thus enhancing the meteorological data quality.
