Lahore: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore has dismantled an international network involved in human smuggling, following a significant operation on the instructions of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. This crackdown represents a major stride in Pakistan’s efforts to combat human trafficking and the exploitation of its citizens.

According to Press Information Department, the operation was initiated based on intelligence tips, leading to the arrest of several individuals part of a syndicate that deceived people with fraudulent job offers abroad. The network, proficient in creating counterfeit documents such as passports, visas, and other travel-related papers, operated its own printing press to produce these fake documents. The operation revealed that the group not only facilitated illegal immigration but also assisted individuals seeking political asylum in various countries.

Further investigations have linked the network to international criminal organizations and uncovered involvement of Indian and Afghan nationals, exposing an alleged Indian conspiracy to defame Pakistan. These revelations have significantly bolstered international confidence in Pakistani law enforcement capabilities.
