Fifth friendly football match between International Veteran Eleven and MEPCO at Youth Hostel Football Ground Multan

Multan, September 18, 2016 (PPI-OT): Fifth friendly football match was played between International Veteran Eleven and MEPCO at Youth Hostel (Football House) football ground in Multan for the restoration of football activities in Pakistan, which are at low ebb during last two years because of some bigwig’s issues. Mr. Sarwar Teddy, former captain and well known International strikers former Captain Sharafat Ali from Multan., a distinguished striker and former captain Muhammad Imtiaz Butt from Faisalabad, International striker Haroon Yousuf from Mandi Baha-ud-Din, former vice captain and striker Khuda Bukhsh from Jacob Abad Sindh, International Striker Gohar Zaman (PIA) from Karachi, well known Striker Amjad Zakria from Kabirwala, International Striker Arif Hussain from Multan, international striker Abid Hussain and Rana Baqir from Multan, a famous international defender Tanveer-ul-Hasnain from Lahore, International Defender Ashfaq from Khanewal, International Defender Naveed Akram from Multan, Sohail Ali Shani from Kabirwala, Goal Keeper Ali Sannam from Jahanian were representing International Veteran Eleven.

Two hours training session was also conducted before the match for the soccer youth of Multan in which penal of legends shared their expertise with them. International Veteran Eleven beat MEPCO by 3-1 margin in friendly match being played for the restoration of football activities in Pakistan. The match was kicked off between International Veteran Eleven and MEPCO at Youth Hostel Football Ground in a thrilling evening fixture.

After a warm evening a large number of people and families came to see the match as the cool breeze in the evening provided some comfort to families. The match was full of thrill and excitement as both teams contested aggressively and made a series of aggressive inroads in each other’s area. The first goal was struck by MEPCO’s Right Out Auon Shan in 8th minute through kick. In 18th minute of the math, Striker Khuda Buksh of International Veteran Eleven struck first goal for his team through Place Technique on the wonderful pass of legendary Sharafat Ali.

In the second half of the match, International Veteran Eleven exhibited aggression game of Ball Possession, Dribbling, Dodging, Passing, Eye Contact and Intercepting which was highly appreciated by the young. The Work Rate and Match Travelling of International Eleven were highly appreciated by the great football legend Rana Younus, an international and Captain of Pakistan team. The game of Amjad Zakria, Khuda Buksh, Muhammad Imtiaz Butt Gohar Zaman and Sarwer Teddy and Sharafat Ali were astonished to see.

The legendary International defender Tanveer-ul-Hassnain and Ishfaq exhibited the superb Defend Technique. Second half saw marvellous game of Sharafat Ali resulted in two goals for his name. In 54th minute Sharafat Ali made a first individual goal through Chip technique on one vs one situation on the cross of Sarwer Teddy.

Sharafat Ali tabbed in the ball for the net from first bar on the cross of Arif Hussain in 81st minute. The remaining second half saw a flurry of attempts to score but poor finish and missed chances restricted both sides to getting a further productive result. The match was officiated by Commissioner Rana Younus, Referee Rana Mushtaq, Assistant Referees Afzal Bari and Moazzam Qureshi.
