Finance Minister Highlights Economic Growth Through Remittances and IT Exports

Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has expressed satisfaction over the increase in remittance inflows and IT exports, noting that these developments are positive indicators for the economy. He conveyed these sentiments while addressing an event called Dialogue on Economy in Islamabad.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Finance Minister emphasized that the recent reduction in the policy rate is a favorable development, as it would boost business confidence. He also discussed the simplification of the tax return form for the salaried class, aligning with practices already adopted by several countries.

Aurangzeb indicated that discussions on the budget for the next financial year are scheduled to take place in the coming month. Input will be sought from various chambers of commerce and industries, and government departments have been asked to prepare their expenditure plans for the next fiscal year.

Furthermore, the Finance Minister reiterated the Government’s commitment to fulfilling the obligations made with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), underscoring a continued focus on economic stability and growth.
