Dubai: Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Envoy to the UAE, visited Heriot-Watt University Dubai to deliver a presentation on the longstanding relations between Pakistan and the UAE. The session focused on historical connections and strategic partnerships between the two nations.
According to a statement by Press Information Department, Ambassador Tirmizi highlighted Pakistan’s cultural and historical heritage, emphasizing its ancient civilizations, including the Indus Valley and Gandhara. He pointed out that Pakistan, with its significant youth population, offers substantial potential on the global stage.
Ambassador Tirmizi elaborated on the geographical features of Pakistan, noting its famous mountain ranges like the Himalayas, Karakoram, and Hindu Kush. He also discussed the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and the UAE, underscoring shared values and historical ties that have strengthened their partnership over the years.
The Ambassador recognized the contributions of Pakistani professionals in various sectors of the UAE, noting a trade volume of USD 10 billion and significant UAE foreign investments in Pakistan. He emphasized the role of the 1.8 million Pakistanis residing in the UAE as a critical link between the two countries.
