Washington DC: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb delivered a comprehensive talk on Pakistan’s economic outlook at the Wilson Center, focusing on key reforms aimed at stabilizing and strengthening the country’s economy. Addressing an audience in Washington, he outlined initiatives to broaden Pakistan’s tax base, streamline government spending, and advance climate resilience.

According to Press Information Department, Minister Aurangzeb reviewed significant developments over the past year, including efforts to increase the tax-to-GDP ratio and reduce expenditures through subsidy reforms. He also spoke on governance changes within state-owned enterprises and reforms aimed at creating a level playing field for businesses, as well as ongoing work to strengthen the energy sector and adapt to climate-related risks.
